Updates from Previous Manual
----------------------------
New Features in V1.2
--------------------
Now plays modules saved with Octamed Professional V3
Is now more Powerpacker Compatible, but the Auto File selector only
recognises that the file is packed, it cannot recognise what type of
music the file is, so you will be advised to try Manual Selection.
The Program also multitasks now, if you hold down Left Amiga and Press
'A' a CLI screen will be displayed, the CLI is fully functional, V1.1 did
not give you a CLI prompt.
To get back to Music Engine, hold down Amiga and press 'A' once more.
Changes in V1.3
---------------
The program has now been optimised for speed, the Auto file selection is
now improved and works a bit faster.
The sprite and pac.pic banks have now been squashed, saving disk space.
For more details see the rem statements at the start of the program !
Changes in V1.31
----------------
Now added support for executable files, you can now play standalone music
files, one side-effect of this is that you can run anything executable,
e.g, just about and standalone CLI command. Be warned though that if you
run anything that is not system friendly, it may not run properly, or
have adverse effects on the running of music engine. Once you start a
program in this way, it is completely out of the control of Music Engine,
so use with care, to activate the function, select Manual File selection,
load the file, and select Executable from the manual file type menu.
Also included are some demos, You will find them in the Demos Directory,
when playing the Sonix tune, Music Engine asks for the instruments
directory, you will find this in the demos drawer (i.e. when asked for
the instruments by Music Engine, select the drive with Music Engine in,
select "demos" drawer, select "instruments" drawer and finally select any
instrument from that drawer and select OK.
Changes in V1.32
----------------
Only minor changes in this version, Fixed support for single disk drive
users, previous versions were trying to load files off the music engine disk
instead of the ram disk, this was due to an error in the default.paths file,
also the program code was making a similar mistake, both now fixed.
The Advert for Deja-Vu software has been removed as this company is no longer
trading. (Deja-Vu R.I.P. Long Live Sandra Sharkey !)
The advert for Totally Amos magazine has been removed as a change of address
is in progress, further information can be obtained from me if required.
All versions of Music Engine upto V1.32 are now placed in the Public Domain
